Jeweller shot at in Raj, robbed of ornaments: Police

A jeweller was shot at and robbed of ornaments and Rs 2 lakh cash by bike-borne assailants, while he was on his way back home after shutting down his shop at Niwaru road here, police said today.
45-year-old Kajormal Kumawat was shot at and robbed of 15 kg of silver, half kg of gold and Rs 2 lakh cash by around six bike-borne people last night when he was returning home after locking his shop, they said.
The severely injured victim has been admitted in a hospital in Jhotwara area and is stated to be in serious condition, police said.
The miscreants fled the spot after the crime, they said.
All check posts on national highways have been alerted and combing operations are on in the area to arrest the absconding accused, police added.
