JFA President Rupam Barua and Secretary Nava Thakuria in a statement urged the Chhattisgarh government to take immediate action to nab the killers and ensure that the alleged killers did "not get impunity in the name of revolution".
Mediapersons of Chhatisgarh had staged demonstration yesterday demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits who were involved in the killing of 51-year old Reddy who was allegedly hacked to death by Maoists near a police outpost in a market area at Basaguda on December six last.
The Indian Federation of Working Journalists, Indian Journalists Union, New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists, Paris-based Reporters Sans Borders and Brussels based International Federation of Journalists have condemned the killing and urged the authorities to take stringent action against the killers, the statement added.
