While congratulating the team on its success, Professor C Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JGU, said, "It has demonstrated the outstanding abilities of Indian law students to compete internationally and excel in these mooting and advocacy programmes."
The Willem C Vis Moot, held annually in Vienna, brings together the global arbitration community around issues concerning the laws of international arbitration and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
The competition has been held annually since 1994 and is named after Willem Cornelis Vis, a world-recognised expert in international commercial transactions and dispute settlement procedures.
