"Provision has been made to recruit sports persons directly, based on their exemplary performance at national and international level competitions," Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren said.
Encouraging sports in Jharkhand, a hub for archery and hockey, Soren yesterday issued directions to the sports department to study sports policies of other states and send a proposal.
The chief minister said more sporting infrastructure would be provided for the youth to excel and showcase their talent.
He said the youth should take junior hockey World Cup player Bigan Soy as an example by working hard and bringing laurels for the state and the country.
