Jharkhand badminton team for Sr National championship

A eight-member Jharkhand Badminton Team for the Senior National Badminton championship 2017, to be held at Patna from tomorrow, has been announced here
The Jharkhand team comprised of three men and five women, said K Prabhakar Rao, Secretary of Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA), today.
Rao expressed confidence that the team will improve its performance in the national event.
Former International shuttler, Sachin Rana, the coach of Jharkhand team, said it is a balanced team and prove its mettle in the four-day national meet.
Rana, who was in the panel of Indian coaches that trained Indian team for the last Rio Olympics and also attached with P Gopichand Academy, expressed confidence that Deyashi Kanjibilia, who had impressive performance in the Under-13 National (4th rank) and Under-17 National championship in the girl's section, will improve her performance in the Women's section.

Based on her performance in the selection trial, Deyashi was picked up in the senior team of Jharkhand. The following players are representing Jharkhand: Men's Team: Safi Akram, Rameez Alam, Vicky Kumar Women's Team: Deyashi Kanjibilia, Manisha Rani Tirkey, Suruchi Pandey, Sagufta Jahoor and Vaishnavi.
While Sachin Kumar Rana and Jitenddra Sharma will be the coach of the team, R.K.Jalan has been named as Manager.
