The approval came at the cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Arjun Munda, to enable the families to avail 35 kg grains at Re one per kg every month under the Mukhya Mantri Sahayata Yozana, Cabinet Secretary N N Pandey told reporters here.
The government, which has already created a revolving fund of Rs 94 crore for this purpose, approved release of Rs 60 crore out of the Rs 360.66 crore, adding up the revolving fund to cater grains for the 14.76 families, who are not enlisted in the Centrally-approved BPL list.
The state government has been urging the Centre to also cover these families in its approval list.
