Jharkhand govt committed to strengthening panchayati raj : Das

The Jharkhand government is committed to strengthening the panchayati raj as prosperity of villages take place through a strong panchayat, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said today.
Panchayat sevaks would get mobile phones within one month to connect them with technology, he said at a South Chhotanagpur Panchayat Swayam Sevak programme.
A total 2.22 lakh houses would be built within three months from June 1 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state and panchayat sevaks would have an important role in it, an official release said quoting him.
They would keep vigil on the construction work and they would get honorarium for that, he said adding housewarming ceremonies of all the houses would be held on November 15.
A bus service would be introduced in the villages and the youth of panchayat secretariats would be connected with it. They would get loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, the release quoted him.
The chief minister said 30,000 small schemes have been chosen for implementation and their foundation stones would be laid on the same day. The mukhias would begin the scheme in their respective villages.
