Jharkhand govt orders probe into Mango clashes

Jharkhand government today ordered an enquiry into the clashes which took place between two communities last night in Mango area here over a teasing incident following which prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC were clamped.
Food and Public Distribution Minister Saryu Rai announced that Commissioner of Kolhan division, Arun, will probe the incident.
Rai, BJP MLA from Jamshedpur West where Mango falls, told PTI that he rushed to the trouble-torn area from amidst a Cabinet Meeting in Ranchi.
"I have apprised the Chief Minister and Home Secretary of the prevailing situation," he said, adding, the situation is well under control.

"We will not allow the peace and tranquility to be disturbed," Rai said, adding, adequate forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
Asked about the arrest of culprits, the minister said the priority was to restore normalcy.
The district administration has appealed to the people to ignore all rumours being spread in connection with the clashes.
