Jharkhand Guv underscores raising awareness level to save

Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu today said seminars on environment issues will possibly raise awareness among the people and inspire them to protect the eco-system.
Expressing happiness for taking part in the seminar - Environment and Development in Eastern India (Status, Issues in Eastern India), Murmu said she was hopeful that fruitful discussions could happen in the two-day seminar on environment issues and solutions could be arrived at.
She stated that possibly such events would help in generating awareness among the people and in turn they would be inspired to protect environment.
She said that environment protection has become a big challenge in the world, adding the entire world is concerned about environment.
The eastern India, comprising Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, would have to pay more attention towards environment, the governor said.
She stressed upon maintaining balance as to make development along with protecting the environment, adding everyone should know its importance and efforts should be there to make the people aware at different level and boost the morale of the person or organization working towards this effort.

Murmu said that topic about ultra violet rays and ozone layer have also come up to the fore and scientists were also serious about it because if it went on then world could come under danger.
Stating that cancer is increasing, the governor said ultra violet rays could be the reason, adding the humanity should work in preserving the identity of living beings.
Due to environmental imbalance, drought or heavy rains or floods were increasing, affecting the people, the governor said.
Murmu also said all the volunteer institutions and citizens should pay attention to cleanliness and plant trees and contribute in protecting the environment.
