"To prepare the youth to face challenges of the 21st century, tablets would be given to students who have passed matriculation. Talks to this effect are on with the Centre," Munda said while addressing a function on the occasion of the state's foundation day.

Munda said his government would fully computerise all departments, making them almost paperless.

Calling the year ahead as the 'Year for the Youth and Skill Development', the chief minister said his government would aim to provide employment to each youth. He said about 25 lakh youths would benefit with the funds earmarked in the next five-year plan.

Marking the end of the "Year for the Girl Child", he said many families had benefited during the previous year and more results would show in the future.

Emphasising the importance of the Unique Identification Authority of India in the implementation of government, schemes, he said all welfare schemes would be made available through 'Aadhaar'.

"The (use of) UID would get rid of middlemen in implementation of welfare schemes. We would like to take every scheme to each beneficiary so that there would not be any (role for) middlemen," Munda added.

JMM Chief Shibu Soren also spoke on the occasion.
