Ashish Mathur, Managing Director JUSCO along with R.K Singh, DGM (Water Management) and other officials from JUSCO explained each and every process involved in recycling the water and its utility.
At the Kharkai Sewerage Treatment plant, which receives 9-10 MLD of sewage everyday, the minister attentively listened to how 100 per cent of the sewage received was disinfected, treated and recycled at the plant after which the treated water was reused for gardening and irrigation purposes.
The steel city of Jamshedpur would become first city of the country to be "zero sewerage discharge' city following the completion of the project by this year end.
Singh has not only expressed joy over the exemplary work done by JUSCO to conserve water but also urged other organizations and government bodies to follow suit and adopt such Sustainable Green Initiatives.
