Jharkhand police badminton championsip in Ranchi

Jharkhand Human Resources and Sport Minister, Geetashree Oraon today inaugurated the 1st Jharkhand Police Badminton and Table Tennis Championship at Thakur Vishwanath Sahdeo Indoor Stadium, Hotwar, Ranchi.
Speaking on the occasion, Jharkhand Director General of Police, Rajeev Kumar said the championship will have a positive impact on the performance of the police officials and jawans.
Advocating promotion of sports activities in the state, Kumar said sports activities would keep the officials and jawans free from all tensions during duty and also keep them physically fit.
Besides, it also create a conducive atmosphere to work for the police department, he said.

Several sportspersons in the police department were of international standard, Kumar said adding that the department has recently recruited two international sportspersons.
Around two hundred policemen and women have been taking part in the meet, which will conclude on 18th September.
