Launching the 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana', Das said it was the result of the vision of the Centre and the state government, adding that coordinated efforts between the two had brought the Yojana on the ground.
Announcing that the state would observe 2017 as 'Garib Kalyan Varsh' (Year for the poor), the Chief Minister said the state was committed to such programmes as the poor too have the right to live in dignity.
He said the state and the Centre were working with "vision and mission" and works were being taken up for welfare of the poor under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
