Jiffies inspire book of stories

Jiffies can come from anywhere - a contained expression, a slightly longer pause, an anxious embrace, an expectant silence or a disquiet farewell; and a new book captures a string of such moments reciting tacit sentiments or messages turned upside down in everyday life.
"My Jiffies" by Priyanka Sharma Kaintura is a collection of bite-sized stories that have the influence to tug at the chords of one's heart.
The book, published by Notion Press, has seven categories - orations, eclogues, monologues and dialogues, stories, pathos, satire and sarcasm, and finally, life aphorisms and epigrams.
"As the name suggests, 'My Jiffies' are very short stories, which I irrefutably owe to my profession that demands pithy writing. And perchance to the men in my life, who braved to retain more than three short sentences at a given point of time," says Kaintura, a communications professional.

"Come to think of it, every noteworthy or insignificant, radical or mundane moment around us is a story, only if watched closely," she says.
