"Authorities will start distributing compensation of Rs 61.04 crore from Tuesday onwards to the farmers in the district who lost crops in about 67550 acres," Deputy Commissioner of Jind Ajit Balaji Joshi said.
Twenty three teams comprising of officials have been formed and they will work under the supervision of senior officers.
Amount will be transferred into the victim farmers' bank accounts and those who doesn't avail such facility, will receive the compensation in cash, Joshi said.
