The competition, which was recently hosted by Oxford University's Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, witnessed participation of several teams, including Queen Mary University and Singapore Management University, from across the world.
According to a release issued by JGU, students of Jindal Global Law School have beaten University of Oxford in the finals to claim the title.
The competition is a global initiative of the Programme in Comparative Media Law & Policy (PCMLP) at the University of Oxford's Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, according to the release.
"It is truly remarkable that JGU, which is yet to graduate its first batch of students from its five-year law programme has achieved this distinction in a record time. It reflects the passionate commitment and dedication of the students and faculty to promote excellence in higher education," he said.
