"JSPL wants to highlight and recognise through a unique national initiative to honour those who have made a mark for themselves in their villages and towns and their stories are untold at the national level," company's executive vice president and Head CSR and education, Prakash Tewari told reporters here.
The award carrying a cash prize of Rs one lakh each will be given to 10 individuals and as many institutions in different categories, he said.
The entries for the award open on September 22 and will close on October 25, 2015.
The award will be conferred in 10 categories including women empowerment, entrepreneurship (start-ups), education, agriculture/rural Development, public service/social services and others, he added.
