JK govt for cattle insurance

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it will explore the possibility of introducing cattle insurance.
"The state government would explore the possibility to introduce cattle insurance to benefit cattle rearers in Jammu and Kashmir," Animal and Sheep Husbandry minister Nazir Ahmed Gurezi said.
He was interacting with locals at Abdullian village in R S Pura.
The minister assured them to take up the issue with the insurance companies so that hapless villagers get succour when their precious livestock die.
The minister visited the border village to enquire into the veracity of reports claiming that a buffalo had died due to a mysterious disease.
