JK govt strengthens health care in Kishtwar, brings in 11 docs

The Jammu and Kashmir government has posted 11 medical specialists to Kishtwar in a bid to strengthen the health sector in the mountainous district of the state.
The health department has posted 11 senior doctors to the only major hospital of this mountainous district which was facing huge shortage of medical practitioners for years, BJP leader Sudesh Singh said today.
He also said this was made possible with the tireless efforts of Minister of State for Roads and Buildings and local MLA Sunil Sharma.
Doctors specialising in surgery, anaesthesia and gynaecology were posted in the of Kishtwar's district hospital.
The doctors have been appointed in four to five departments of the hospital which were vacant for past one decade, the BJP leader said.
Sharma thanked Health Minister Choudhary Lal Singh for his concern towards the health sector in the district and hoped that these doctors will work hard and provide relief to the common people of the district.
The government is fully committed for uplifting the remote and backward regions of the state and these steps will go in a long way in establishing the faith among the poor masses of the state, the minister said.
