"We criticise the state and the central governments for taking the state legislature for granted and ignoring even its unanimous resolutions, sending dangerous signals across the state," party MLA, M Y Tarigami said while participating in the discussion on Chief Minister's grants in the Legislative Assembly today.
In this connection, Tarigami referred to the resolution of the state Assembly regarding autonomy and the unanimous resolution for investigation into a retired general's serious allegations and revelations.
Tarigami asked the Chief Minister that in his capacity as the chairman of the Unified Command, he could withdraw the Disturbed Areas Act (DDA), paving the way for final withdrawal of AFSPA.
Highlighting the closure of Pathribal fake encounter case, Tarigami said such "eye-wash" will result in further alienation and disillusionment among the people.
