Director of School education, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh informed this to the State Education Minister Naeem Akhter on the latter's visit to various schools in the region.
Stressing on the need for reviving extra-curricular activities in schools to encourage hands-on learning, Akhter said the initiatives taken by the present government have started bearing fruit and tangible results would be seen on the ground soon, according to a statement here.
During the inspection, the Minister interacted with teachers and students and asked the latter to ensure that live demonstrations and field visits are arranged for children to make learning interesting and joyful, it said.
Singh said that laptops will be provided to the teachers for giving live demonstration on various topics.
During inspection of Government Middle School Dodhi Gujjar Colony, Akhter inaugurated the Pre-Primary section and appreciated the efforts of the management for making the classroom attractive for students.
