It had posted a net profit of Rs 14.89 crore for the April-June period of the previous fiscal, JK Paper said in a statement.
Its total income from operation during the period under review was up 3.61 per cent to Rs 606.51 crore as against Rs 585.35 crore of the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Commenting on the results, JK Paper Vice Chairman & Managing Director H P Singhania said: "The improvement in performance is mainly due to higher production and sales, enriched product mix, continuous improvements in operating efficiencies and input cost reduction in comparison to corresponding quarter".
