JK police arrest two drug peddlers with heroin

Police today arrested two persons allegedly involved in smuggling of narcotics and seized 1,100 grams of heroin from their possession.
"During a routine checking the police party stationed at Giri Nagar on Kishtwar Chatroo road noticed suspicious movement of two people," SSP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas said.
"The two individuals identified as Mudassar Hussain and Fida Hussain were stopped and a thorough search was conducted on them," he said.
He said that from Mudassar Hussain 700 grams of heroin were seized and 400 grams of heroin were seized from Fida Hussain.
The duo was on their way to Jammu to sell the narcotics, he said.

"Both of them have been arrested and a case under various sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act has been registered against them at Police station Kishtwar. Investigations have also been started in the case," he said.
