The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken several measures to augment and upgrade the sports infrastructure in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today said.
"Mega sports tournaments are now being organised in the state regularly to groom the sports talent among the local youths," he said at a function in Kathua district.
Highlighting the role of youth in nation building, he said that they should channelise their energies and activities towards making India a global power as they constitute a major chunk of the population.
