JKCA chief lauds state cricket team for topping Pool C

Union Minister and Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association president Farooq Abdullah has complimented the senior state cricket team for defeating Assam and topping the Pool C of the Ranji Trophy.

With this victory, J&K has gained top position in its pool with 24 points from six matches, which includes four wins.
Himachal Pradesh with 24 points from seven matches is at number two while Maharashtra is standing at third position.
J&K still has two more matches to go in its pool against Hyderabad and Tripura.
Abdullah praised J&K skipper Parvez Rasool for very thoughtful captaincy and also hailed Ian Dev Singh for his marathon 170-run knock and Samiullah Beig for his six-wicket haul in the second innings.
Abdullah hoped that the team would continue to perform in a similar fashion and come out victories in the remaining matches as well. He conveyed his good wishes to the team, coaches and management staff of JKCA.
