The decision to develop the Kendra and form an executive council to look after activities was taken in a governing council meeting, held after 12 years.
"Developing the JKK as a world class art centre would help its association with noted artists, experts and scholars and will help it to gain fame as an International centre," Raje, who chaired the meeting, said.
She also asked the authorities to set up a permanent Haat bazaar at Shilpgram, development of a conference hall and an auditorium equipped with modern facilities.
JKK is an institution for the preservation and promotion of the various genres of Indian art and culture.
Various activities, including seminars, workshops, dance and musical recitals, theatre shows, take place at the Kendra.
