JKLC sets up panels to probe state properties, JAKFED scam

The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Committee (JKLC) today set up two panels to look into restoration of state properties outside the state and alleged bungling and embezzlement of public money worth crores of rupees in JAKFED.
Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra has constituted a House Committee to look into the issue of restoration of state properties situated at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Sirsa (Haryana), Amritsar and other states of the Union.
The Chairman also constituted a House Committee to look into alleged bungling and embezzlement of public money worth crores of rupees in Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (JAKFED) from 1987 onwards, including cases culminating in registration of case FIR 3/95 by State Vigilance Organisation.
Both the Committees will submit their reports to the House during the next session.
