Malik said it was the BJP, led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Advani, which talked to the Pakistani leadership to solve the Kashmir issue.
"Was it not Atal Bihari Vajpayee who went to Lahore to talk about the solution of Kashmir?" Malik said in a statement here.
Advani yesterday slammed the Centre's interlocutors on Kashmir and warned of a fresh agitation if any attempt was made to reverse the integration process of Kashmir with India
Malik expressed surprise at Advani's statement saying if such a process was right when the BJP was in power, why has he changed his mind now.
"Are these statement merely to gain lost power and credibility?" Malik, who today visited the Baltal base camp for Amarnath pilgrims, said.
Malik asked Advani not to "play with the future" of millions of people living in India and Pakistan for the sake of "personal interest".
