The activists shouted anti-Pakistan slogans and held protests against the country for 'targeting the civilians in the region.'
"We want stern action against Pakistan that has been targeting the innocent people living all along the border and the Line of Control. They have been killing our people," a leader of JKNPP, Neeraj Gupta, said.
Meanwhile, the JKNPP state president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today visited several villages of the R S Pura sector that were affected by the continuous ceasefire violations from across the border.
He also demanded ex-gratia compensation of Rs 20 lakhs for the families of the people killed in the shelling.
Mankotia also demanded a plot each for the resident of border areas in safer places.
