"It would be in the best interest of the state that the Governor may please recommend the cancellation of the recently -held assembly elections in the state. We have moved a petition to him in this regard," JKNPP Chief Bhim Singh told reporters here today.
Singh alleged that the elections in the state were held in violation of the Supreme Court judgment of October 8, 2013.
"We have urged the Governor to invoke Section 92 of the Jammu and Kashmir constitution as the situation has arisen in which the government in the state cannot be constituted in accordance with the provisions of the constitution of the state," he said.
Singh alleged that in absence of a proper functional government, anarchy, violence, disorder, horse-trading, political blackmailing and instability was prevalent in the state.
