Of the 41 night shelters, 20 are permanent structures equipped with quilts, food, water and other facilities. Six more permanent shelters have been planned, the setting up of which would taken up on war footing, Chairperson of JMC's Public Welfare Committee Kusum Yadav said.
Six temporary shelters have been erected at different locations for beggars and homeless as winter days set in while nine temporary homes would be completed by this weekend, she said.
Over 2,000 poor people live in these shelter homes during the winter season every month from December to March, Yadav said.
The hill station of Mount Abu recorded the lowest temperature of 6.4 degrees Celsius and in the plains, Jawai Dam recorded the minimum of 7 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature ranged between 11.7 and 17.6 degrees Celsius at several places including Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Barmer.
No significant change in winter pattern would be expected in next 24 hours in the state, the MeT forecast said.
