"We are getting support from various tribal organizations and political parties including left and JVM (P) to the shutdown and also appealed to people from across the society to make the May 14 bandh successful," JMM MLA, Kunal Sarangi said.
Sarangi is the JMM MLA from Baharagora assembly segment in East Singhbhum.
Sarangi advocated that government should develop barren land for industries rather than acquiring agricultural land for the purpose.

In a video conferencing with Deputy Commissioners and senior police officials of different districts, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma directed them to deploy additional Rapid Action Force in Ranchi, Dumka and Jamshedpur and keep vigil on sensitive spots.
She also issued directions to the officials to establish coordination with the railway authorities and GRPF relating to security matters, the release said.
Director General of Police D K Pandey asked the officials to keep vigil on those public properties which had often been the target of trouble makers during bandhs.
