Speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, Lew also said that US was expected to do well this year economically, but "we will not be satisfied till the time everyone who wants a job gets one".
At a session on the US outlook, the US Secretary of Commerce Penny Prtizker emphasised on the need to spur investments and create jobs, besides bringing innovation to the way businesses are done.
Froman also said that the US trade policy was also very much part of the country's investment job creation policies.
On Trans Pacific Partnership, which US is negotiating with 12 countries, he said, "Our goal is to have a high standard comprehensive agreement, we are engaging with countries on these issues. All the countries are working together very well on this. There are various issues such as labour, intellectual property."
Asked whether China would also be included into this partnership, Froman said "We are open to any country joining this treaty but they will have to follow high standards of a comprehensive agreement."
