The accused Shriniwas Rai (60), Sanjay Kumar Srivastava (49), Ashok Kumar Gaddam (50) and Devender Singh (51), were yesterday caught by their victims including a Mau district (UP) resident Shyam Kumar and his ten companions when they learnt that their travel documents and other papers were fake.
The accused had provided forged visa, job agreements, air tickets and police clearance certificates to the job seekers. They had also arranged their stay at a guest house in Daryaganj, a senior police officer said.
The four accused were caught when they reached the guest house to collect money for sending the job seekers to Kuwait. They had charged Rs 80,000 from each candidate, he said.
Forged documents including visa, job agreements, air tickets and police clearance certificates were recovered from them.
The accused were later taken to Daryaganj police station where an FIR was registered against them.
A fifth accused member of the racket who used to prepare forged documents was absconding and efforts were on to nab him, added the officer.
