Joe Biden to make guest appearance on 'Law and Order: SVU'

The Vice President of the US, Joe Biden is set to guest star as himself in an upcoming episode of the long-running NBC police drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".
Biden will be part of the scene where he praises Mariska Hargitay's Lieutenant Olivia Benson for her work to end the rape kit backlog, specifically in the city of Detroit, reported Aceshowbiz.
The Vice President visited the set on July 29. Star Ice-T shared a photo of him standing at podium with Hargitay. "
"Joe is in the Building.... SVU," the actor/rapper wrote along with the image.
Biden and Hargitay previously partnered on numerous occasions, including for PSAs for Hargitay's Joyful Heart Foundation and its No More campaign to end domestic violence and sexual assault.

Biden previously played himself on "Parks and Recreation" where he met his biggest fan, Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott).
"Law & Order: SVU" returns for its 18th season in September. The series will feature an episode that mirrors the story of Steven Avery of "Making a Murderer" fame.
