Actor-filmmaker Josh Radnor is going back behind the camera to direct sci-fi drama "The Leaves".
Written by Christopher Kyle and Kevin J Walsh, the movie tells the story of a man who is transported to a parallel universe and how he tries to convince the love of his life - who does not recognize him - that they are soulmates, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The project is currently in casting process with Gotham Chopra and Carla Hacken producing it.
In the past, Radnor, 41, has written and directed two movies, "Happythankyoumoreplease" in 2010 and "Liberal Arts" in 2012. Unlike these films, he is not expected to act in "The Leaves".
Radnor is best known for playing the hopeless romantic Ted Mosby in the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". He currently stars as Dr Jedediah Foster on American period medical drama television series "Mercy Street".
