Joshi unbeaten half-century helps Vidarbha beat Haryana

Himanshu Joshi led an impressive batting display with an unbeaten 61 as Vidarbha thumped Haryana by eight wickets in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 match here today.
Chasing 137 for a win, Vidarbha produced a solid batting display to overhaul the target with three balls to spare at the VCA Stadium at Jamtha here.
Jitesh Sharma (24) and Faiz Fazal (37) stitched 41 runs for the opening wicket in 5.6 overs to give Vidarbha a solid start.
After Sharma's dismissal, captain Fazal and Joshi shared 54 runs for the second wicket to take Vidarbha closer to victory.
Joshi, who struck six boundaries and two sixes in his 46-ball unbeaten knock, got an able ally in Apoorv Wankhade (13 not out) as the duo took Vidarbha home by reaching 140 for 2 in 19.3 overs.
Earlier, Haryana, led by former India opener Virender Sehwag, could scored 136 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs after electing to bat.

Mohit Hooda top-scored with a 56-ball 65 which he made with the help of four boundaries and two sixes. Sehwag made just one run from the four balls he faced.
For Vidarbha, Rajneesh Gurbani and Ravi Jangid grabbed three wickets apiece while Ravikumar Thakur got one wicket.
