Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up jowar and maize prices.
In the national capital, jowar (yellow) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,900-2,000 per quintal. Maize also moved up by Rs 25 to Rs 1,625-1,635 per quintal.
