Jubilant Life resumes operations at Gajraula distillery unit

Drug firm Jubilant Life Sciences today said it has restarted operations at its distillery unit at Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh following an order of the National Green Tribunal.
"National Green Tribunal (NGT) has passed an oral order dated May 31, 2017 allowing restart of the manufacturing operations of company's distillery unit at Gajraula from June 1, 2017 subject to certain stipulations," Jubilant Life Sciences said in a filing to BSE.
Pursuant to the order, the company has restarted operations of the distillery unit with effect from today, it added.
"With this, manufacturing operations of all the company's units at Gajraula have resumed," Jubilant Life Sciences said.

The company had restarted manufacturing operations in other units at Gajraula on May 9 after NGT passed an order allowing it to resume operations there except at the distillery unit.
Shares of Jubilant Life Sciences ended 2.08 per cent up at Rs 742.65 on BSE today.
