The actress bagged the award for her role as Selina Meyer in 'Veep', beating Lena Dunham ('Girls'), Edie Falco ('Nurse Jackie'), Melissa McCarthy ('Mike & Molly'), Amy Poehler ('Parks and Recreation') and Taylor Schilling ('Orange Is the New Black'), said The Hollywood Reporter.
Louis-Dreyfus, 53, celebrated sealed her by kissing actor Bryan Cranston before accepting the award. The pair had previously kissed in an episode of drama, 'Seinfeld'.
"The show is very dense, as you might notice," she said in her acceptance speech, before thanking the 'Veep' cast and crew for maintaining 'grace under pressure'.
