The 48-year-old actress took the stage alongside late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, for a planned introduction to those nine women across the continent, from Arizona to Canada, reported E! Online.
"I guess I am self-centered and it never occurred to me that anybody else would be named Julia Roberts. I didn't think no one would be; I just never thought about it," she said.
Kimmel brought together all the women through a live video conference.
One by one, the women shared unexpected conveniences and quirks of sharing a name with the A-list celebrity, including posh hotel rooms and convenient dinner reservations.

"Nobody called me Julia. They called me Eat Pray Love," she said.
Another woman said, "They ask me to verify who I am any on occasion I used my credit or debit card."
"Say, I'll call Richard Gere and he will tell you," the star joked.
