The action-drama, which will begin shooting in mid-November, is the story of a young woman who returns to her home town and becomes the subject of harassment from a crime lord, reported Variety.
The woman calls on a former wood logger, played by Hopkins, 76, and his side-kick to protect her from the threat posed by the crook.
The film is based on the book written by Castle Freeman Jr and will be directed by Daniel Alfredson, who helmed 'The Girl Who Played with Fire'.
