Modi will unfurl the national flag at the state level 66th Independence Day fuction to be held this year in Junagadh on August 15, an official statement said.
It will be followed by a tree plantation drive at the venue, it added.
The state-level Independence Day celebrations are held at a different place every year.
Minister of State for Agriculture Kanu Bhalala shall be joining the chief minister at the function in Junagadh, a statement said.
Different ministers and parliamentary secretaries will hoist the flag at various district-level Independence Day functions in the state, officials said.
