In a brief in-camera proceeding, sources said the Special Cell told the court that Jundal was found using nine different email IDs and from his possession four international SIM cards were recovered, one of which was from Pakistan and others from Saudi Arabia.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Vinod Yadav said other agencies -- National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Mumbai Police' ATS and CID -- would have to wait for seeking custody of Jundal till July 20 -- as the Delhi Police was in the middle of its probe.

"Even otherwise, the interest of justice demands that an agency which is in the midway of concluding its investigation, the loose threads of investigation cannot be allowed to remain stray. As has been pointed out, there is enormity of the investigation which still remains to be completed in the above matter (Jama Masjid blast and attack case)," the court said.

30-year-old Jundal, who was dressed in a white Kurta- Pyjama, was produced in the court with his face muffled amid a sea of media persons and security paraphernalia.

The Delhi Police submitted that the call detail records (CDRs) of the SIM cards were obtained through diplomatic channels and were being analyzed.

The court was also informed about the probe it was conducting to establish the link of Jundal with other co-accused persons and "invisible handlers" in Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Indian Mujahideen.

The quizzing of Jundal was needed to unearth the conspiracy which led to other co-accused collecting a big haul of illegal weapons, including a factory used for manufacturing illegal arms, it said.(MORE)
