Junior engineer suspended, salary of two officials withheld

A junior engineer in the public health and engineering department was suspended while salary of two officials were withheld for alleged negligence in performing their professional duties in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Taking a serious notice of negligence in restoring supply of safe drinking water in Ramban town, District Development Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz today placed Junior Engineer, PHE Ramban, Jagjeet Singh under suspension with immediate effect", an official spokesman said.
He said salaries of Executive Engineer PHE (Hydraulic) Ramban and Assistant Executive Engineer, Sub Division, Ramban, have been withheld till further order.
