Justice Goel to take oath as new CJ of Orissa HC on Saturday

Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel would be the new Chief Justice of Orissa high Court.
According to sources here, Justice Goel would take oath of his new assignment here on Saturday.
The post of Chief Justice of Orissa High Court was lying vacant since the last week of September when the then Chief Justice C Nagappan was elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court.
Prior to his present appointment, Justice Goel was working as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court since December 2011. Born on July 7, 1953 at Hissar in Haryana, Justice Goel enrolled himself as an advocate of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in July 1974 after obtaining his law degree from Punjab University in Chandigarh.
An expert in civil, criminal, labour, taxation and Constitutional law, Justice Goel was elevated as a judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court in July 2001.
