The 18-year-old 'Boyfriend' singer made headlines earlier when a photographer died in a car crash while trying to snap photos of his white Ferrari.
Reports alleged that the paparazzo, named Chris Guerra, had been following Bieber all day and was convinced he had seen the young star smoking marijuana while driving, reported TMZ online.
Pictures of Bieber taken on January 2, the day after Guerra's death allegedly taken at a party inside a Newport Beach hotel, feature the singer smoking an unidentified substance.
Sources said that Bieber's rapper friend Lil Twist was also present at the bash and had allegedly been rolling joints for other partygoers.
They added that security was present on the premises, but did not object to guests taking photos.
Bieber, who released a statement shortly after Guerra's death calling for reform on privacy laws, has now issued a message to fans via his official Twitter handle which seemingly alludes to the new photos.
