A juvenile delinquent, facing charges of loot, has escaped from a government-run observation home here.
"Two boys tried to escape from the home on Friday. While one of them was caught, another escaped," superintendent of the juvenile home, S K Mohanty, said.
"The inmate who escaped is from Gosaninuagaon and was implicated in a loot case. He had escaped from the home on May 26 last along with 26 others by attacking its staff. He had been re-arrested later," Mohanty said.
Seventeen of the 27 inmates, who had escaped from the home on May 26, were recaptured by police from different places in Ganjam district, he added.
