"The fight is not just of JVM. It is a fight by the entire country, because joining of six MLAs to the BJP violates the 10th Schedule of the Constitution," JVM President Babulal Marandi said in his address from the fasting spot at the Birsa Chowk here.
Marandi, who took part in the fast, said, "The Constitution underlines disqualification of MLAs unless the original party and the 2/3rd legislature party merge with any other party. We will fight from the people's court to the Supreme Court against violation of the Constitution."
"But the BJP threw morality into the ocean," Marandi said, referring to the recent induction in the Raghubar Das ministry of two MLAs, who had won on JVM ticket before joining the BJP.
JVM's legislature party leader Pradip Yadav asked why this game of defection when the BJP/Ajsu party appealed to the people to give majority and got it.
