Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) today threatened to take to the streets if the East Singhbhum district administration did not initiate action against dumpers carrying fly ash and slag during 'No Entry hours'causing immense pollution in the steel city here.
A JVM delegation handed over a memorandum in this regard and demanded for immediate action against the heavy vehicles carrying the fly ash and slag as well as plants causing pollution, East Singhbhum district spokesman of the party, C H Rammrthy said here.
The JVM leader alleged that a plant situated in the city was also causing pollution as it was littering the streets with sand mixed with cement and aggregates.
The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Amitabh Kaushal, assured the JVM delegation of initiating action against the vehicle operators who are found to be violating norms.
